Annual "Support An Angler" Service Project/Fundraiser
For the past five years, TWHS BFT has held a fundraiser called "Support An Angler." Our goal is to raise funds to fund fishing trips through Texas Outdoors (https://www.texasboysoutdoors.org/) for veterans and children facing life-threatening medical issues or special situations. Our anglers realize the benefits and pleasure received from fishing and we want to help Texas Boys Outdoors provide a great experience for a child or veteran who could use a relaxing, fun fishing trip.
Our hope is that our anglers will understand how lucky they are to have ponds and lakes nearby that they enjoy daily and how they can share this joy with someone who can benefit from an experience like a fishing trip. Please talk to your anglers about this fundraiser so they can understand how we are trying to impact the lives of others.

How it works:
Anglers ask family, friends, and neighbors to donate or pledge an amount per fish caught.
Example: Grandpa says he will give Joey $5 for every fish he catches. Grandpa commits to giving a $10 minimum (in the event Joey doesn't have a good day fishing) and a maximum of $25 (in case Joey has a great day fishing!) After the tournament is over, Joey will tell Grandpa how many fish he caught, and Grandpa can write a check to TWHS BFT or use the link on our website to make the donation. These are DONATIONS based on your angler's catches or just in support of the program. Donations will be used solely for the purpose of providing trips through Texas Boys Outdoors. Your angler does not have to fish the tournament to collect donations. You do not have to take pledges; flat donations are also accepted.

This is one of the recipients of our 2016 year. Sadly Dylan passed away a few months after the fishing trip... Help us make a difference in someone's life by donating this year.
